Not Happy -- At least we move soon

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Notice how both of these items of food are half eaten? Guess who DIDN'T eat them? Mister or myself. When I came home on Sunday, we went to have a snackie -- only to discover that the snackie had previously been snacked. Mister had had a friend crash here -- we checked, he did not snack. This leaves only ONE PERSON who comes into our apartment: the cleaning lady from hell.

She is not returning. She's supposed to have one more date to clean, but this is beyond the pale for Mister. Hells, we spent almost $6 on that salsa alone! And to have had someone else be eating it and put it in our fridge?!

I am not happy -- we haven't even touched the salsa and chips because it's weirded us out. Frankly, I don't understand how she came with such a shiny seal of approval from our LL in the first place. Alright -- I just have to get over this. I'll never see her again.

R -- this post is the reason why I haven't posted much yet. I needed to post this one, and needed to have the time to be able to think about it rationally -- not my strong suit!

  1. I'm sorry to hear about this. This is appalling behaviour. I'm sure if she was very hungry she could help herself to something, but then she should have left a note at the very least, and put the food away. And if she had a shred of decency she'd offer to pay for some of it.

Honestly, I think we're just very, very, very lucky with Shobhadi, our all-round domestic help.

  2. There have been so many reasons why I dislike having her come, and really, this was the straw that broke the camel's back in more ways than one. I just keep wondering how the hell she has clients!

  3. That is very weird stuff. But I've got to tell you that my boys are finding this story hilarious!

  4. I'm glad that it's causing amusement! It was just very unsettling, and bizarre, so I could see that.

I'll be happy when I never have to deal with cleaning lady antics, that's for sure!

  5. Lots of cons: money gone down the drain, loss of faith in the lady, having to deal with appalling behaviour.

But look at the pro: you got to write a blog post that made people around the world laugh!

  6. Very true. And I can definately appreciate that. If it wasn't me, I'd be laughing really hard. But I kinda hate the lady, so it was sadly, just confirmation of her failures. :-P
