Goats!

This is a post that I planned to do about a week ago, and never got around to it as I was a little busy. So Goats!

For some reason, not only have I been seeing goats in a lot of random places, but Mister seems to be half on-board for goats. It's hard to judge, but it's not like he's anti-goat, just doesn't want them right now-ish...?

Anyways. I got an email from my dad (one of those chain emails of course), that had goats in it. Check these pics out!







These pics were taken at the Buffalo Bill Dam, over the Shoshoni River in Cody, WY. Crazy wild goats! I personally love the one on the little ledge in the third pic going "hmm... now how am I getting down from here...?"

Having received such a lovely email, how could I get any more goats? Good question! Turns out, I found a lovely pic of crazy goat antics in a National Geographic at my doctor's office.



Apparently, goats in Morocco love the fruit of argan trees so much that it even makes the wiki page!

Oh crazy, silly goats! How I want thee!

I'll Win the War

This is Sharon Astyk's newest baby goat. I saved said picture, and called Mister over.

Me: "Are you ready?"
Him: "Yes."
Me: "You sure?"
Him: "Yes."

Me: "ITSH A BABY GOAT!!!!"
Him: "... yes it is."
Me: "Doesn't it make you want a baby goat?"
Him: "No."
Me: "WHAT?! BUT IT'S A BABY GOAT!"
Him: "No, I don't want a baby goat."

I have promised myself to convince him that he wants a baby goat. He knows this. He uses this knowledge to his own advantage to make me eat things I would normally avoid (like dishes with goat cheese).

I WILL WIN.

Addendum: I sat looking at pic for a while longer, and I have to gush.

Me: SHE'S SOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUTE!
Him (from the other room): ... the baby goat?
Me: YEEEAAAAAH!
Him: Baby... (*sigh)

Easter Overflow

So I got my Easter box in the mail from my mum and grandma today. It came complete with:

-- 7 oz. box of turtles
-- some ribbon and a Lush shampoo that was to get returned to a friend...?
-- a nice copy of the Earthsea Trilogy
-- a lovely book called "The Perfect Tea"
-- 2 boxes of peeps (one green, one yellow)
-- paska (Ukrainian Easter bread)
-- reeces peanut butter eggs
-- Werther's Originals
-- marshmellow renditions of VeggieTales characters
-- 3 boxes of Thin Mints
-- bar of Milka chocolate
-- and the start of my herd...



This is Goatee, the most adorable little goat Beanie Baby! My mother informed me that although I probably will not get much goat milk from her, she is still the official start of my herd.
